For some of the students, self-confidence in the classroom comes naturally. But for some, the day-to-day requirements of the school can cause anxiety as well as frustration. As a teacher, you can have the opportunity to positively influence all the students and encourage them to feel proud of their abilities and accomplishments.
Look at your mistakes as an opportunity for growth
As soon as you realize everyone makes mistakes, you can feel more confident. Continually, dwelling on the mistakes will not help you in your future endeavors, but it is still essential to reflect on a situation and see how you can enhance it next time. Buoyant people are able to learn from the errors they make and then move past them with the understanding of their future.

Look for realistic expectations
It is important that you be realistic about all your accomplishments. It is nice to achieve high, but sometimes it is just not attainable and that is completely okay. It is important that you create your own set of goals and things which you would like to accomplish during the school year. Sit down and review the lists with them. Setting goals that are manageable and reasonable for the students can help them see how much they have grown. You can try to differentiate your teaching and create goals that represent every student in your classroom. Interested in learning more about how to differentiate your teaching?
Remind yourself of your good qualities
You can think about the skills, personality traits as well as qualities of which you are proud. We all have days where we can feel down, but as everyone has some or other great qualities, it is quite important. Take some time to think about or write down all the things that you like about yourself. Take your journal or diary and create your list. This way you can easily remind yourself whenever you are feeling down. For an instance, you can love that you are compassionate and great at sports. You might be proud that you are a little weird and fiercely loyal to your friends. You can make a poster with all your good qualities and paste it on the wall of your student accommodation Reading.
Use positive affirmations
Sometimes we all require some extra sell-assurance. Give yourself a pep talk when it feels like you want one. If you are scared of a test, then it is important to confront a friend. You can easily present in front of the class, and remind yourself why you are ready to take on what the day has in store for you. You can think of the different skills and qualities of which you are proud and repeat them back to yourself in the mirror. And if all fails, then deep breathing also helps.
Do not come from one student to another
Your students do not have their own sets of unique strengths, talents as well as needs. You can accept that some students will have strengths where the other do not and do not treat them as a homogenous group. Differentiated learning can help students identify how to learn best. When the students feel like their needs are not being met in the classroom, they may feel like they are not welcome at all. You can take notice of the different strengths and the learning styles of the students you have and create a classroom environment that fosters the unique abilities of the individual students. When students are in-tune with what works best in helping them learn, they start to empathize with each other and have open dialogue around the successful strategies.
